Hey guys lurker here who's had their Nitro for about 6 months. I was just wondering what pups have you all have found that work or don't work well with your Nitro?
For me the BK Nailbomb and Holydiver combo in one of my EC-1000 seem to work the best. The SD JB/59 combo in my other EC-1000 don't seem to work well at all. I was also suprised that the pups in my mid 90's MIM strat work pretty well with the Nitro's gain turned down.
What's your findings?

I havent had my Nitro for that long yet.. but so far, I found that the Duncan Blackouts sound awsome through the Nitro... cut through no problem, lots of gain, tight and aggressive tone.

I like my EMG85's. I have tried SD Custom Customs, El Diablo's and JB's also but I prefer the 85's for the metal... ;D

For 'teh Brootalz' I always like the SD Custom-5 and the Bareknuckle Miracleman humbucker. Razor777 on the board here has some cool clips with Wagner pickups which sound excellent.

Low out put pickups and pushing the amp hard is what I like.I actually dropped the pickup heighth on most of my guitars and just push the amp harder.Way more tone than having the pickup height right below the strings.The tone is gets warmer and seems to have more of an acoustic voice and still with a ton of bite and grit.

I use the stock Dragon II in my PRS Standard and a Tremonti Treble in my CE 22. Both sound totally different which I like. They are both pretty hot pups and seem to work great. Articulate and tight. ;D

I plug in any of my axes turn it up till I cant hear the neighbors Bitchin!
Pickup wise got emg 81/85 in les paul, dean hardtail,and my zemaitis have duncans sh4/59, and tremonti prs has his pickups...the tremonti just comes alive thru the nitro.
This amp is just plain MEAN! had it several months now,kt77s in er.And still comin up with new sounds with this amp its so different than all my other amps,being the knobs respond unusual compared to most amps.Lots of options.
