I just bought a Quickrod that had KT88's so it basically makes it a Promod. I run it through a Marshall 1960BX cabinet (Greenbacks), all I can say is WOW. The Splawn with Greenbacks is a KILLER combination. I sold a Dual Rec to buy the Splawn, so needless to say I am in amp heaven right now. Thank you Scott for building such a kickass amp!

I played my Pro Mod through a GB loaded cab before and it really sounded great. It tempted me to switch out my V30's but I still like that speaker, especially after I installed my ghetto beam blockers (duct tape). I had a Dual Rec too and sure as hell don't miss it!

Ghetto Beam Blockers. LOL. That is hilarious. I have not played through anything other than Greenbacks, so I don't have a reference to other speakers. I am sure that the Promod could sound bad through some speakers, but I am sure the V30 is not one of them. The only complaint I have about the Greenbacks is the wattage. I always have a fear of blowing them since my cabinet is only 100 watts.

I run one cab with Reverend all tone 1250's with mine sometimes and they sound great with it too. Mostly I use a Marshall cab loaded with GT75's and A Mesa cab loaded with Governers and Man O Wars. I run the latter of the 2 together and it sounds amazing.

Currently running the Splawn big block speakers in my splawn 4x12, always sounds great to me! Not too dark, but not overly bright either -Brent
