ok, I see alotta guys using this with pretty damn good results with the quick rod..and I've seen a few on ebay for cheap!
which version do you guys have? I see there's like versions 1 through 4 or something like that
I have some cash from the difference in what I sold my axis for for what I paid for my petrucci...I was thinkin' of gettin' one and just getting rid of my MD3 delay pedal..cause it seems alotta you guys use it as a form of attenuator to drive the tubes nice and hot but not have it blow out your bedroom windows =D
thanks in advance! oh, I'm assuming that you use a footswitch for it? cause there's no fx loop on/off on the quick rod footswitch =(
thanks!

I have to make a recommendation here to address the footswitch question - I use an Axess Electronics midi footswitch which works flawlessly for my rack gear (and pulls phantom power through the midi cable). It also changes the channels on my amp at the same time so I just have to stomp one button - can go from distortion to clean with chorus and delay, for example, with one click. www.axess-electronics.comIt uses a little box called a CFX4 which sits in the rack to send the channel changes to the amp and the midi changes to the rack gear. Mario Marino is fantastic to deal with - he actually modded my footswitch to draw the phantom power for free. To address the lack of an fx footswitch (Splawnfan and BOZ please correct me if I'm wrong) - you should be able to set up a user patch on your Midiverb which will bypass the unit so you can get the tone from your QR with no effects if you want. That way you just set up a channel on your midi footboard for the dry signal and the midiverb should bypass itself. The loop will still be turned on but the signal won't have any effects in it.
