I am about to order another Splawn cab (Oversized 2x12) to match my purple Competition: I'm having problems picking a grill cloth. The cab will be purple with gold piping. What do you think? Black, S&P or Cane? I was thinking S&P, but a few people have said it won't go well with the gold piping.

I can't tell with the lighting if that's a gold or silver chassis you have?
If it's gold, seems like the cane would set that off nice on the cab.

salt and pepper....
have we started to turn into females...everything has to match perfectly?... ;D
all the classic marshalls were gold panels with salt and pepper cabs

Okay, I've got to ask this question... Almost every picture I see online of the S&P grill does not look S&P, rather it looks almost "gold". Which is awesome....however I'm told that is not what it really looks like in person (rather, it looks like you'd expect S&P to appear). So what's the verdict on this

So what's the verdict on this usually it is the lighting. a regular lightbulb has mostly a yellowish tint. look at my combo, more natrual lighting shows it's more towards the white color in the S&P grill . splawnfans.proboards38.com/index.cgi?board=newborn&action=display&thread=4113I vote Cane.. just for the yellow tint! Good luck on the choice, Jonnytoetags!
