sweet man! i'm so excited about getting mine, hopefully in a couple weeks. can't wait to open it up at band practice. i was a little worried about getting a one channel amp but i'm glad you say the roll back on the guitar works so well. rock on!

Finally got to open the Compy up last night. I typically take a head and use a board with a ton of stuff. Last night, just Compy, a guitar, chord, tuner and a DD3 in the loop. Daaayy-um.  This head doesn't need a clean channel - rolling the guitar volume back really cleaned things up. Was amazing the variety from just riding the guitar volume. Clean - nice rhythm - killer thick lead tones. Kept it in 'Solo' and 2nd gear the entire time (footswitch won't be here until this coming week). Didn't miss any of the 'toys'. Wanted this head for just that reason - plug-n-play. Blew me away!!  I hear ya man! I love my Comp and just roll the vol. back and , to me, its very clean. Sometimes I get the vibe that the Comp is just the lil brother that gets punched by the big brother Splawn amps. But for me its perfect. Its a rockin beast with a ton of gain, and imo great clean sound. |

I'm in a band w/ another guitar player and we're waiting to get the splawn before we do our final recordings of the demos we've got. Gonna use it for all the guitar work. hows that for a lil splawn faith!

thanks 4 the tips man, i'm a lil short on cash so i have to settle on one cabinet. i plan on getting a 2X12 avatar with a celestion gold and g12h30. i've heard some clips of the comp running through the gold and it sounds sweet! eventually i might want to get some other options too

I like my avatar contemporary cab with my Comp. But I don't dig the hellatones too much. The cab's a beast though. Look on ebay for an empty one and put some small blocks in it.
