first, a tone question--another tone came to mind that I'd like to be able to get...i think it's about as driving as you can get..in your face, agressive, total grind...Vivian Campbell's tone on Rainbow in the Dark....can you do it with a qr??
now, cabinets...WHAT COLOR CLOTH SHOULD I GET?!?!? help!!!!! hhahaha
I want the QR in a black pro mod case (maybe the lexan face, not sure) with the silver control panel and piping..want black tolex...not sure about the grill on the 2x12 though..I kinda like the brown sugar cloth and the salt and pepper basket weave

Trust me, the QR will do Vivian Campbell! The Pro Mod can kind of do it, but the QR has the EL34s.......which is the key to that tone. My modded Marshall has KT88s and it can still get that Rainbow In The Dark tone.
The Pro Mod case does look the best. I would get it black, gold face plate(like a Marshall!), and white piping! I am really liking the look of my Splawn cab. Check it out in the picture section.

I love the tone on that song...hard to explain it..but it's just got so much grind!!! very powerful...but not in the overly scooped, tinny, deathmetal kinda powerful..if that makes sense...lol...
yours is the one with the brown sugar cloth right?
