I've been trying different things to snug up the bass on the Nitro just a tad. I got a SD-1 for $30 bucks and gave it a shot. It boosted the gain a little and also snuged up the bass. I'm still on the fence with it and I would like to snug it up without using a clean boost. Any suggestions?

Why would you need to tighten the bass on such a monster as the nitro? And why would you use an sd-1 which actually kills your bass?

I find OD1 to be much tighter than OD2 on the Nitro, so that's where I stay. I don't boost my Nitro.

The reason I'm using the SD-1 is probably the same reason why most (not all) use some sort of preamp or boost etc when recording and playing live. I love the Nitro. The resonance knob snugs up the bass a bit, but it also takes some of the guts away. I'm using the SD-1 in the place of turning up the resonance knob. I'm sure the guys in KSE are still using the 808 in front of the Nitro. It just needs a little snugging (my opinion). It gives it tighter palmutes basically. Thats pretty much it. I was just wondering if anyone was using one.
