My first post here... I've had it now for over a month and it just kills!!! I've been using a Dual Rectifier for the last three years (gigging) and this amp destroys the Mesa in every way, shape and form! I play in an eighties cover band in Northern California and this amp DOES THE EIGHTIES like no other. Our set list contains a copious amount of Van Halen and it appears this amp was made for that very purpose! Scott is the man!

I like you already. You have a Quick Rod with a poster of Emmitt Smith in the background? Nice! Are you in Texas?

I have just had another rehearsal with my Quickrod and it sounded amazing tonight! I am using a midiverb 4 in the loop, but have the effects very low in the mix, just enough so you know they are there! I play dry most of the time but its nice to kick some chorus, delay etc in sometimes. Also using the midiverb i can boost the volume on any channel using the midi pedal, like say your playing the clean channel and you need to boost the volume and stay clean you can!

Hey Splawnfan, Im using a Behringer FCB1010.On the midiverb i use the auto level input which comes up at 44.On the output level some patches have two output levels these are usefull because you can set these higher than the patches with only one output level and have a volume boost on any channel on the quickrod by just changing patches on the midiverb. If you dont want the actual effect just take the mix down to 0.My normal output level is 83 which keeps the volume the same with the loop in or out,on the patches with 2 output levels i have them set to 91 which gives them a real nice boost,so you can be in OD1 and then boost to play lead still in OD1 if you want to! Also you know them times during a song when for some reason your lead gets lost, well just kick in a 2 output level patch and you will be rocking!

Sorry i forgot to mention that the good thing about using the output level to boost the volume is that you can use the effects with the boost and without!
