man, what a great time i had this weekend. everyone from scott down to the last person i met at the con was super cool. i made lifelong friends this weekend... miss you guys already... see ya in 364 days.
i was never more proud of Splawn and the people that play them than i am today.

here's some pics fellas: this is what you saw when you walked in....this is what heaven must look like  here's DC playing the new Nitro!  here's Scott getting things ready  TJ getting things started  Supercharged350 setting the room ablaze via the Nitro!  Shred showing people why they call him "Shred", again through the Nitro  my buddy Dave playing some Nuno licks via a little amp called "Nitro"  DonaldDemon jamming through the Nitro, we got to hear how it sounded through single coils!  TJ and Dave in a friendly guitar duel  TJ and Scott jamming together  a yellow QR, a plexi competition and the new kid on the block, Nitro  Shred on the vominator (i swear i didn't name that guitar)  Scott on the vominator  closeup of the monster  my new best friend Josh from Splawn and I  and last but not least, my favorite picture of the whole weekend...sadly some people left before this was taken right before we closed the con  |

Is the amp to the right with the 50s looking cuttout the Superstock? That looks really cool! I am really interested in hearing more about this amp? As long as it can get 1st gear type of gain, everythings cool. No clean channel.....right?

Is the amp to the right with the 50s looking cuttout the Superstock? That looks really cool! I am really interested in hearing more about this amp? As long as it can get 1st gear type of gain, everythings cool. No clean channel.....right? yeah, that's the superstrock...it's first gear kinda gain but it's a little less compressed as well...very cool sounding amp... |

I think Kevin has some footage of the "Superstock" the first day we got there. It was killer man. Loved that amp!!!

You have officially peaked my interest! yeah, it's a bit more open sounding...it's still got the first gear vibe goign on, just a little more 'classic' That is what I was wanting out of first gear on the Quick Rod. I wasn't in to that much compression. All I wanted was for it to be a little more open sounding. I am into that open vintage tone. Very cool! Plus, it has the new clean channel...right? My Quick Rod didn't have that.....and I wanted it. This amp sounds like it might be what I am looking for out of the Splawns. I have to wait for the tax money to come to me in January. This will be my 3rd Splawn. 3rd times a charm...right? When Scott told me about this amp close to a year ago, I was really interested. |
