The convention will now be split up into two parts. The factory tour on Saturday morning until 11:00 AM and the clinic 11:30 until 3:00 PM or so. The Clinic part of the Splawn Convention will now be held at The Music Center in Gastonia NC. The manager (and world’s coolest Luthier) Bil Jones has volunteered his store for the Clinic/jam part of the Splawn convention. The Music Center has the correct venue for this event and is better suited for the Convention needs i.e. we can crank as loud as we want and not get arrested.
The Music Center is located about 3 miles away from the Hotels on Remount Rd. This means that the hotels are halfway in-between the Splawn Shop and the Music Center.
I will try to get some details about getting some food in for lunch. I don’t know if Scott’s brother can setup in the music center or we can get food from R.O.’s Barbeque (a very famous and establish barbeque restaurant in North Carolina.)
I am also going to gauge the interest of the local paper and TV stations to cover the event. I hope that’s okay with Scott…..
