I recently joined the comp club and I have 2 2x12, one with small block 65's, and one with small block 25's. Honestly, you can't go wrong with either one. I had the scrill I'd score one with small block 75's too. If you want to go with a splawn cab, give Scott a call and see what he recomends. I've never heard of him leading someone astray. Hey Vanlaing, I have a 2x12 on order with a 25 and a 65 in it. How do you like your cabs? What's the tonal difference between the 25's and the 65's? I'm thinking of changing my order to two 25's, do you think it'd be a good idea? Thanks

To my ears, the 25 have a more "vintage feel", or high end to them. They are still super full and project killer. The 65 have a more modern, or emphasized bass. I think the combination of a 65 and 25 would be great. I actually hooked up both cabs and cranked both my quickrod and competition up with them just to see what it sounded like, and I was blown away, it was like the best of both worlds, I had really clear highs and projection with a nice punchy bass. I would leave your order like it is, you can always order another speaker after the fact.
