Hey folks,
I am all new to this and looking to purchase an amplifier. I have been playing guitar for 25 years and just getting back into purchasing new equipment. I have played everything from old Marshall plexi amps to Rozon (tonebone) modded amps. I am looking for the most flexible spawn amp that can cover a wide range of music, say everything from George Benson, Larry Coryell to Deep Purple, Led Zepplin, Dream theater. Can anyone suggest which Splawn amp would have the flexibility or closest to what I am looking for? Anyone's recommendations is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the tip. I have been contemplating between the Quickrod and The Pro Stock. Can anyone provide information on the difference between the two amps? Thanks, Jowga

ProStock doesn't have a clean channel and is foot switchable between gears instead of channels. Its basically a 100 watt Competition. Or like a kickass jcm 800

Thanks, so you agree the quickrod amp is the most flexbile/versatile for all types of music then compared to all other splawn amplifiers? Sorry, I just want to be sure since there are no outlets or stores in Toronto, Canada that carry splawn amplifiers. Thanks

Seeing as how the QR is a 2 channel amp, Yeah, I'd say it's more versatile. I have a Competition so that's really the only thing i can give 1st hand knowledge on. But from what I gather It has the same voicing as the QR. It seems to me that the Comp and the ProStock are scaled down (read 1 channel) variants of the QR. The Pro Mod is just a QR with KT88 tubes. As for the Newer Super Stock and Nitro, I think they might be voiced different but I don't know for sure. Someone in the know can jump in here. But I can give You some feedback on my Comp... It Fookin' rocks! With the gears I can for from early Zep to Zack Wild (and sound 10x better than either ). The footswitch does a good job of boosting to give more gain and volume. The only quirky thing I have noticed is that the mid knob is more like the high knob on other amps. i.e. giving the amp more gain and edginess. This amp is very bright and mid heavy, heck all the frequencies seem to be exaggerated, but in a good way. They are hot rodded!
