Hey guys. New to the forum. I really love the tone of these amps. I was considering a Competition to go with my old cab. Its only 100watt handling and the speakers are old. I don't want crazy distortion because I dont want the output to be too much.
I was thinking the Competition would be a good match.
I heard some of the sound clips of this amp and they sound awesome.
What do you guys think?

Hey man, the comp would go great with greenbacks, it's exactly the same gain channel as the quickrod, only without the clean, and 50 watts. I've played mine through both an avatar cab loaded with greenbacks, and one loaded with vintage 30's, and the greenbacks sounded better, punicher and without those annoying mids. There's also a clip played with greenbacks that sounds great, if you want I can look for it and post it.

I've looked at a lot of amp makers over the last few weeks and the Splawns seem like they have the tone I was looking for. If you got any clips def. post 'em. Thanks!
