After careful thought and consideration, I decided to pull the pin and I bought a Splawn Competition. I just hung up with Scott a couple of minutes ago. I ordered mine with the Plexi style case, black tolex, silver piping and panel, chicken head knobs and on Scott's recommendation the KT77's. It will be an 8 to 10 week wait. The Splawn will be a welcome addition to my amp collection. I currently own a Engl Powerball, VHT Pitbull w/EQ, Fender Pro-tube Reverb and a rack set-up with a Rocktron Voodoo Valve and Mesa 20/20 Power Amp.

Kirkster57, congrats on your purchase and I apologize for my friend's uncouthe behavior. Oh and by the way....if you are ever around Boston, the cops don't care if you speed. At least thats how TJ thinks things work around here!!! LOL ;D

Hey thanks gang...I am excited to add this baby to the collection. Metalheart..yes the Engl does thump hard. Crank up the depth punch control and then... lookout!

The ENGL stuff is amazing I used a Screamer 50 for years! blindin' amp!
