I agree they sound better up after 9 o'clock, but all my clips were bedroom volume recorded and I think it sounds great at lower volumes too.

I use a Morley Little Alligator. The product description indicates it is intended for volume loop placement. 30 bucks or so on Ebay. It has a minimum volume knob which I like, so when the pedal is all the way back, it maintains a minimum volume.

Craig, I've been meaning to ask, I'm considering a Splawn OS 2x12 w/ Scotts recommended speaker combo for my bedroom use. What is your opinion on the tone of the Manowar at low volume. I realize it's meant for crankin, but was just wondering if it does okay at low volume. I currently use a V30/H30 X-combination, and my opinion is that it can be "honky" with the Splawn - a little overbearing the the mids.

Well I really dislike the V30's and H30's I've heard...and I hate those Scumbacks.. at least with the Splawn.. .. That being said I think the Eminence sound great at any volumes and they NEVER ever sound harsh or brittle which is very important to me.
