I'm 13 and I'm looking for a new amp.Is the competition for me? I play lots of Metallica and Black Sabbath and also I have learn't AC-DC and loudness. My dad MetalHeart thinks the competition will be perfect for me.

I now play through a Hughes and Ketner 100 watt combo. It sounds good but not as warm or as loud as my dads.

I have my own band called CALIBUR one day you will here of us.
My dad is trying to record some of my clips now so you guys can here my style.

Congrats on having a very good father. He obviously wants good things for you and this also means you are in all likely hood a terrific young person. I think the competition is an excellant choice since it has the same sound basiclly as the pro-stock/100 watts, and the quickrod/100watts. The 50-watt competition is a great amp at a terrific price. I would have ordered one myself, but got a quicker time slot on the Pro-stock back in december. ;D Look at this as the greatest compliment a father could give if you guys are both into music, and guitars. It is quite a good bit of money and also a very strong statement on his part, that he wants the best for you, and thinks you are worth it, and have earned it. Hey and deserve it. You let your father know that Hollywood said HE IS A COOL GUY!!!!!!!!!!!! I have talked with him on here before. If I am ever out in your part of the state, I would definately be interested in meeting people like you, without a doubt. But then again you will find most all of your new Splawn family is cool. Hey we were smart enough to buy SPLAWN PRODUCTS. I will talk with you again. LATER BUDDY.

do you need a clean channel? if not, the competition is for you! ;-) the splawn probably hit ya harder too huh! uh... get the competition and then you and your dad can trade off amps.. hehehe..

Cool for you! My son has started playing guitar (he's 6) and I told him that if he kept it up, he could get a Splawn one day. I hope that is good motivation!

How did you go about learning the guitar? I suppose Dad was your teacher...maybe?

Killer man, I'm sure you'll love the Competition. I have the Pro-Stock but it's pretty much the same amp when I run it in the 50 watt mode. To tell you the truth I leave it there anyway and it's plenty powerful. Listened to quite a few clips of the Comp with KT77's from folks on here and that sounds like a great combination for anything from classic rock to modern metal. What kind of cab are you gonna run it through?

Yes,My dad got me started but now that I have picked up on tab.
I don't need to rely on him as much to show me songs.

I think I might get his 212 ;D He is wanting 412.

Here is what it look like when my dad recued it from the pawn shop for $35. We put it back together,installing a dimebucker in the bridge . Dad also installed schaller machine heads.

dad says it was almost ready for the dumpster ;D
