If your looking at this you probably already know what these preamps are all about.3 channel tube pre with excellent tone. This preamp is sought after and used by many for the rich tube tone they produce. The T3's three channels feature totally independent EQ, gain and level. The "A" channel is simple and sweet with level and bright controls. The "B" channel is fat and crunchy with drive, bass, treble, mid boost/cut and level controls. The "C" channel cranks all the gain and edge needed for blistering solos with another set of flexible independent gain, EQ and level controls. The back panel of the T3 offers left and right outputs switchable from -10dB (instrument level) to +4dB (line level). An effects send and left and right returns are also included. The back panel contains a 1/4" jack for the analog footswitch (included with unit).
The Hafler T3 is a single space, 3 channel MIDI tube preamp. Under the hood is a full tube amp complete with driver stage and output transformer. Load resistors are then used to bring the "full amp" signal down to line level. This has proven to be the only way to attain full tube amp characteristics out of a guitar pre-amp.
