Ok in your opinion what are the top 3 solos. Doesn't have to be of all time. Just a good piece of work that really fit the song well.
Here's what comes to my mind:
Move on or move over (By Streets. Guitarist Mike Slammer)
I'm no Angel (By Greg Allman. Don't know the guitarists name but really tasty solo work)
Get the Funk out (Extreme baby!! Nuno rules!!)

plenty by Adrian Smith of Iron Maiden that are just friggin' PERFECT as well...but since there's too many of those, I mention his collective works =D

This one get's me everytime! Jump -- VH. One of their cheesy pop tunes but the solo growls. Comfortably Numb -- Pink Floyd. Never been a big fan of PinkF but David G. solos always make me smile.

Here's mine:
*Sister Christian (Night Ranger) - Another cheesy pop girly tune, but Brad Gillis's solo fit the this song nicely.
*Tom Sawyer (Rush) - Alex Lifeson is an awesome guitarist that is sometimes underrated by some critics.
*Hit Me With Your Best Shot (Pat Benatar) - Neil Giraldo is another underrated guitarist, who recorded alot of cool licks
Yes, I know, my age is showing, LMAO................

Neil Geraldo played some great stuff on a lot of tunes. Great guitar player and has a smoking hot daughter!!!! lol!!!

Ooooo! I love lists:
1) Girl Gone Bad That F#$king A chord into that solo still gives me goosebumps..
2) Mediterranean Sundance/Rio Ancho Al DiMeola's solo is SOOOOOOO awesome on that...
3) Julian Bream's version of the Fugue from the Prelude, Fugue and Allegro for lute in D by J.S. Bach. Insanely moving performance.

There are so many to choose from. Of course everything EJ and Vai for me. Vai's "Building the church" is frikkin insane! That one on the DVD in Japan is just plain sick when they kick into that song. Craig please tell me you have seen that! How about "Hot wired" by Brent Mason or "G whiz" by Johnny Hiland. OMG both those songs just leave your jaw on the floor.

2) tonight - randy rhoads
3) bark at the moon - the solo and outro solo are probably the greatest solos ever put to tape......
