I filled out an on-line app. the other day on the Guitar Center site.. And got a call today for a Interview Monday for a sales position..
I've been wanting to get out of automovitive manufacturing, and I'm stuck on midnights which I hate. But the pay is good.. They always says you should work in a field you love... Any advice?

I did a little research on the net and found plenty of stories about how they pay at Guitar Center.. Fading commission, very high employee turn over.. etc, etc.. Decided against it for now.

I'd say it's a great job..if you're working your way through college or between jobs or if you've got somethign else that is your main source of income..but I woudln't do it for a living..they can't make much..

Seem like its decent, the guys around here has always worked there ( tulsa store), and the guys in OKC have been there for years. I dunno if the pay is different?? but around oklahoma they retain thier employees. which is nice

I read one post from a GC salesperson that sold close to a million bucks worth of equipment in one year, working 50-60 hours a week, but only took home $30,000 I don't know much about sales, but that won't work for me..
But check this out... Tonight one of my guys comes to work, He's bullsh!tting with the guys while changing into his uniform.. passes out & drops to the floor.. We call 911... start CPR after we slap him a couple times and he doesn't respond. EMS gets there and defibs him 4 times.. No help... He was 23... We can't figure it out...
