1) I don't want to wait 8 months 2) Scotts making exactly what I want congrats dude....i hate to hijack this thread but it seems appropriate in a sense... i'm looking for a good guitar that i'd just use for a song or 2 for alt tunings like drop d or some stuff like that...doesn't have to be anything fancy because i have my 2 suhrs...so i was thinking about getting an epiphone les paul...anyone ever play one of those?...i'd get a real les paul but don't feel like spending $1500+ on a guitar i'm not going to play too much...any opinions?

My buddy has an epi Les Paul.. the quality is really shoddy, but for under $1000 you could do worse. I have two PRS's I can use for other tunings, but I am mainly into these strats with the Rio Grandes.. I love this configuration for a guitar,
Nate, I'm sure Scott could do that, give him a call man.

Hows come you like the black hardware so much? I think I am going with chrome the next time. Still have to order a Drop D tuner for the Mansel.

Now wait a minute, I did this all first,, LOL.. your doin everything that I'm doin!.. ha ha haa. I don't know I just like the black, I used to be a chrome guy too, but the black is meaner looking and stays better looking over time I think.

I think chrome tends to look cheepish most times

Curt Mitchell's Wayne Guitar has black hareware on it. It looks really good. I do like the look of a Rosewood Fretboard too...........just don't know if I would really like the feel! I am into the maple fretboard the most!

Both my PRS's have rosewood. Its good for what it is, but I love the look and feel of a filthy maple neck,, LMAO.. It seems to have more snap to it,, not sure how to describe it. As of this stage in my life I'm all about the maple.

I think I am all about the maple too. Mainly cause that is all that I have ever played! I like that snap. Has that Paul Gilbert thing going!
