I just made an observation about the Seymour duncan forums and figured out why I don't post there anymore,, or very little unless I have a clip to share and bring Scotty some bizness... anyway here it is. Some moron asking "how does Tremonti do that lick".. I wanted to post,, DUDE are you serious!!? Please for the love of God go back to geetar skool. ...in another thread,, how do I get Claptons "woman" tone. Oh for cryin out loud,, then he asks what about Santanas "woman" tone".. I mean are these people for real? ..in another thread.. the Peavey Bandit compared to the Crate G-40 combo.. I mean What? which tone do you like better? uh,,,, uh,,,,, uh,,,, ...in another.. how to customize my Hondo and make it sound like Metallica or Zakk Wylde... oh lord.. This is why I love it here with you guys,, people who have a clue.. On our worst day were arguing over good players vs. other good players, and everyone seems genuinely knowledgeable about tone, amps, guitars, etc. etc etc.. so, thats my rant, and I'm not posting there anymore unless I got a clip..  |

What guitars, EQ settings, amps, p'ups should I get for some Punk tone?
seriously, this is a real thread happening right now over there.. LMFAO..
I mean dude, if your a real punk your not suppose to worried about tone.. Maybe stop at Hot Topic on the way home, get some black eyeliner and a Sex Pistols Tee-shirt and you'll be more punk than worrying about EQ settings,,, BWWHAHAHAHHA.,

that's true...if you're a true punk you're not even worried about playing the correct chords...let alone using the "correct" equipment...
i kinda stopped going over there regularly...but that's where i met craig for the first time....lol

Its not only on that forum! LOL, I have read those types of comments everywhere. This is the first forum I have followed for more than one or two days. cause everyone cracks me up!
the other ones that gets me is the HC gear reviews. glow them reviews...

there are some genuinely good players on that site...but I agree with you for the most part...lots of beginners and lots of people who don't know squat =)
same on harmony central...

I hear ya on that. But hey lemme aks you something...since you got that bengal graphic geetar do you sound exactly like George Lynch? Is that the best'iss guitar you ever played? My friend got one of them ESP Kirk Kramit models and he sounds just like him now  |
