I guess theres no point in keeping this a secret any longer cause I don't think its happening. I was going to audition for Quiot Riot. Splawnfan guessed it right...
I'm not sure whats up with it now. I was recommended directly to Kevin Dubrow by the guitar player from Slaughter cause he initially turned it down. Alex Grossi is out,, Now, I'm not sure whats happening with it. No biggie. Just wanted to let you guys know who were watching that other thread.

Thats too bad man. Thats pretty cool that Slaughter was helping you out! You are making connections. May lead to something else someday!

May lead to something else someday! after guessing that craig was auditioning for quiet riot, i got in touch with george lynch, through jimbax, who got me in touch with kevin dubrow... i flew out there over the weekend and after extensive tryouts that were filemed for a new reality show, i was offered and accepted the gig ;D (seriously, sorry to hear it didn't work out craig)

The guys in Slaughter help us out constantly. They are such cool guys. They come to our shows all the time and got us all those cool Bike Week gigs this year.
Anyway, yeah, it would have been cool. It still could happen but nothings really happening with it right now. I wouldn't be doing it for the money, they only play about 15-20 shows a year. My band plays 100+. So I'd stay with Dirrty Hairy for sure.

I was working with a band with 'Stormer' singer and major label and guitar endorsement guys showing up in suits to all our rehearsals....why would I go to a Quiet Riot audition....YEAH...hindsight being 20/20 and all... they made an impact....(with Carlos on guitar...arg...)

(that song was actually Carlos's song when he was in 'Snow'... 'No More Booze' sung to the same tune...DOUGHP!)

I was looking forward to 2 things:
1) Frankie Banali on Drums. 2) Chuck Wright on bass. (ex-Badlands).
Getting to know a few of those couldn't be bad for someone like me who is into all that music.

You could I suppose. Lets say on the high end $1000-$1500 per night for the band. Kevin and Frankie take more, I'm sure of it. Thats high end, so your looking at $20,000 a year maybe? But you'd have plenty of time to play other gigs so that may make up for it. I couldn't live off that but I know plenty of guys who would.

Craig, U would actually play with those guyz? I didn't even know they were still performing. They would have to pay me some good $$$ to play that crap all night. I was once a metal head but its hard to stomach most of that stuff these days.... Of course certain bands are timeless like old VH, Zep, Queen, Boston....etc...
