Hey All!! I'm closer than ever to picking up a Splawn. I really would like to try out a QR or a Comp. I went to the Splawn shop a couple of summers ago, but I felt a little weird about interrupting Scott, and I need to hear one in person again. I remember the QR being a monster, but I would like to spend more time with one!! Thanks!! Rick

GO BACK!!! Scott is a great guy.. call him, and ask if you can spend a little time on it.. since you get to visit the shop ( I'm jealous btw) see if sheduling a little time before hand.
and since your closer than ever to getting one!! better yet... +1.. "JUST DO IT!"

Hey Guys!! I guess I should explain my problem a little better!! I really would prefer to find a Splawn closer to home. Scott and company are about 5 1/2 hours away. The main reason for my hesitation is my current amp is a Marshall 50w clone that I built myself. I've tweaked the circuit many times, but can't get the distortion characteristics I want. My $$ situation dictates that I need to sell it first. Playing a Splawn close to home, I'm thinking, will put me over the edge and let me cut off the attachment to the homebrew amp. Understand?? So, if somebody out there lives in the Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, or Staunton area, I would like to hear from you! Thanks... Rick

Let me know if you want to get one in your hands. I will be happy to put one in your hands for testing. PM or call for details. But, I don't mind making arrangements for someone to play one of these fantastic amps Josh
