Hey all, just spoke with josh on the phone and he said my comp will be ready in two weeks. Now, since i'm from Israel, i'll have to pay about 30% to customs. If i'll have the invoice value on the box lowered I won't have to pay much for customs, but it's risky cause if something happensto the amp during shipping i'll be covered only to the amount in the invoice. I know scott packs his amps very well so should I be worried about damage to the amp during shipping? Do packages get lost sometimes on fedex? What do you think I should do? Have the invoice value lowered, or keep it high not taking risks? Thanks

it's sods law u have the invoice value lowered and something will go wrong.. just bite the bullet and pay the tax.. I had to pay like 20.5% tax when my competition arrived.

I do all the shipping here at work. 90% of every shipper I do is overseas. Mainly Asia. FedEx has never lost a single package from us. We switch to another company once to save money and they lost several. We went back to FedEx. I average 4-5 packages a day and usually all different countries, China, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, no problems. But that is my own experiences....But like James said, You always take a chance by lowering the value.

;D DUDE. Pay the tax and keep it covered. Even Paris Hilton's getting the bite of the crime dog. So the odds don't look good right now if you are a betting guy. Go the smart way.

Will having the invoice value lowered also affect the shipping price? As having a lesser valued item insured will reduce the insurance fee?
