Anyone know why scott moved from Mercury Magnetics to Heyboer?
and anyone with both generation QR's like to tell me the tonal diff?

They sound more like the Vintage marshalls back in the day instead of Mercury mag.
Scott other amp building buddy( the one that start with a G) turn him on to them.

Brian Gerhart and Tophat Amps just moved there recently too (not for the heavy stuff, but for the thing it does, my old Club Royale was one of the best amps I've ever played through). NC is becoming an amp mecca! |

I believe Germino's are also built here in NC. and the Mojo cabs.

When I last spoke with Scott on the phone about a year ago...he basically said
(HB transformers just sounded MUCH better)
