lol. Put in your application! Na, they are good guys down there. There my one-stop-shop for everything. Picks, strings, PA equipment...They definitely have a good operation going on. Just all around nice people.

I was shopping for the new Marshall JVM and Scott had one in stock. I went to his site and found Shreders vids. I knew Matt from a previous forum so I shot him an e-mail and talked shop a bit. I ended up going with a Pro Stock instead of the JVM. It comes tomarrow, WooHoooo!!!! ;D

I was on this search for a new amp.. going custom made this time... I really wanted an amp that rippes without all the stuff in front. I found this dude on EBAY that has this CD of Amp demo's , OH! thats a cool idea.. I emailed him and asked if he had a demo of a hotrodded modded JCM, he said.. ya.. but get a splawn and dont worry about this CD.. I did. I emailed and thanked him within 10 minutes of powerup of the splawn.

To be completely honest, I have no idea how I stumbled across Splawn amps anymore. I too had been searching for San Dimas Charvels at one point(LOL who hasnt?  ?) That may have been how, strange, I cant remember. May have been searching for VH tribute bands and stumbled across Eruption too, and saw Al playing a, what is that??? a Splawn? ?? LOL then off to Shreders video clips, and Dirty Craigs video and now you know the rest of the story!!!! |

I have to blame it on DC ...for me that is.If splawn was a Drug. I would say it was be the
Heroin of all amps. It would leave you in a dream state. Give you withdrawl if you didn't
play it enough. Smack you down if you were a first time user. But It's not a Drug & I wouldn't
know anything about that stuff?

My buddy who I mentioned above got me to the web page but it was Shredder's and DC's clips that sold me on buying one. When people ask me about them I take one of my favorite Jeff Spicoli lines from fast times and say "Ha those guys are faygs!!"

The first time I heard of Splawn, was my old roommate was just looking around at different amps. We were both playing thru Line 6 Vettas. I also had a Metaltronix head as well. While it sounded good, it lacked in a lot of different departments. I was thinking about getting the Metaltroninx modded to better suite my needs with a tube amp. Then he stumbles across the Splawn. Being the tone gurus that we are, we decided to check out the clips of Al, Shredder, and DC. We were both blown away! I sold both the Line 6 and the Metaltronix and bought the Splawn the next day. The funny thing is, is that I was checking out Rockaforte amps and Voodoo amps as well. I went to a studio in NY after I bought my Splawn, the studio had both of those amps. First thing I did was fire those puppies up. Not even close. Best money I have ever spent on an amp. Period!

The roccaforte Higain 100 clip had a Fulltone overdrive to get the EVH brown sound.

I first heard of splawn from a guy called TO on the bareknuckle forums, I liked his stuff.. but wanted a Bogner Ecstasy 101b.. started saving up and got halfway and thought i'll buy a Splawn Competition.. never looked back even after trying the XTC..
Splawn amps rock my socks..
