You'll never find a better recorded tone than that of Rich Wards. The album is so thick. "The Sky is Falling" is a killer example of how versital the splawn can be, where as a song like "Metal is Dead" or "Open Season" shows off just how heavy the splawn can be. No doubt in mind, this is the heaviest you will ever hear a splawn get. sh!t sounds amazing, thanks for posting it on here Brian! -Brent

Now that is some killer Splawn Metal tones. I think Scott will be selling a few more Pro Mods after word gets out on that!

glad you guys checked out those tracks!! his tone IS the reason i bought my PM!!i was on the fence until i heard his live tone and recorded tone!!he was pushing the splawn stuff on his web site and i knew that they had to be great being since his bradshaw modded marshall jcm800 was insane and he still switched to splawn( his marshall took a dump and i believe Scott fixed it for him-i believe the transformer went due to HEAVY touring and use) those tracks were recorded using a 1976 gibson explorer (with a duncan pa tb-1in the bridge) and a old marshall cab with greenbacks and a pro mod.no huge rack of effects or pedals just guitar into the amp (the way it should be!!) his live tone is just as brutal!!
