For anyone thinking about buying a Splawn, now is a good time to buy (my opinion.) Splawn can only make up to 25 amps a mouth. That is the reason there is a 2-3 month wait. Scott builds the amps himself. As the national attention grows on these amps the production cannot go up. Only 3 things can happen: The price will go up (going to happen anyway), The wait time will go up, or the building process of the amp will change. I know Scott and the way that he feels about his products. They are his babies. He will fight to stay on the bench and build ‘em himself. Think about having an early Fender amp hand wired by Leo himself. Limited production + demand = Higher prices. I am just saying that things change and you should get your Splawn before the guys at Guitar Center find out about them. D

As I was doing my research, I reached the same conclusion and decided to just charge mine instead of saving up the cash (which I normally do). I'm glad I already ordered mine. Mid-December is not arriving fast enough.

Good assessment. Hopefully Scott will decide to just increase the price rather than change his process. I believe that his amps are worth more than the current asking price anyway.

i'd rather his prices went up than quality of construction went down, i mean mr dumble got it right.. the bugger charges 30 grand for an amp, that keeps mass production away and the money flow & quality high..

I guess I got lucky when I ordered mine back in January of this year. It took six weeks to get my QR and 412 cabinet. It's great to see Scott doing so well. Hands down, the best amp I've owned.
