uuuuhhhh... thats interesting. I can see the head case being from splawn. but I dont see any markings on the chassis mod'ed by splawn.  interesting find... hmmm I will have to check on this one further!! I know the carvin is somewhat a marshall knockoff, with active controls. hmm.. so maybe its possible scott may have done it. so its 50/50 in my mind ?!! |

This amp was not modified by Scott, I actually built the head box for this amp a year or so ago. The customer wanted it re-covered and the box was made of particle board covered with the rat fur carpet mess. It was just easier to build a new box than to re-cover the old one.

There are a few Sovtek Heads out there modded by Scott. Some of the first amps he did. I saw one in a pawnshop about five years ago. I was on the way to the shop and Scott told me that he had sold that amp on promise to pay. The guy never paid and then pawned the amp. What a rip...
It was a mig 50 with purple tolex. Noah sold one on splawn fan not long ago. Scott said that Sovteks are good amps and easy (for him) to mod. I don't think Scott is doing very much modding these days. He is too busy building amps. I love my mig 100. Very powerful and breaks up nicely.

Thanks for the additional info. Yes, Scott is swamped with building his babies. I too, think he most likely won't be "modifying" other name brand amps, due to his own brand starting skyrocket into today's market. He has been blessed.
