I just got my 2005 Quickrod yesterday. I've been reading all your post, and listening to your sound clips for a while. Scott should get all you guys together and buy you some drinks because your sound clips are selling some amps. I really took my time and played through a bunch of amps before buying the Quickrod ( ENGL Blackmore / Koch Powertone II / Soldano Decatone / David Bray Mod II Marshall / Framus Dragon) I just love the sound and feel of this amp.

tho' I'm an ol' man and most of my gigs require my 'vintage' rig which runs a Vox amp, (my Splawn QR 1/2 stack is for bad-dude gigs and recording...) I can tell you that, in my opinion, there isn't a tighter more percussive high gain amp on the market on ANY level! totally controllable distortion that even when dimed you can stop on a dime yet sustain notes forever when needed. For the Marshall rodded sound you are hard pressed to find a better amp. No fizzy or muddiness, sits right on the higher end of the midrange in a mix, so cutting through isn't a problem, yet, without getting piercing or harsh on the upper end. Truly an amp for 'gain-snobs'...Congrats!
