Hey everyone, I'm a long time lurker, first time poster.
I've been wanting a QuickRod badly, but just saw Scotts new 50 watt creation called the 'Competition'.
Am I readin the info right that you can switch between 1st & 2nd gears ? So no clean channel or 3rd gear on this model ?
I know this has been talked about before, but if he has created a way to switch between gears, will it ever be designed on the QuickRod ? This will help me decide which way to go.
Thanks !!

no word on whether it will make it onto the QR or not, but I hope so! thing is, I think all of us current QR owners won't be able to benefit from it...I wouldn't think that you could do it just from a new foot pedal...there's gotta be some internal switching device in there.....oh well! lol....
and no, no clean and no third gear the way I see it on the competition

LOL yea, I had to sell my pedalboard stuff first to open up the wallet a bit...I actually made extra on top of the TC cost...which is another reason I wanted to do it...consolodate you know...

I have a few pedals that I might sell before unloading the Marshall. I have a Lengendary Tones Time Machine Boost that I am considering selling.

Hey Welcome! I called Scott the other day and was in hopes I could get a 50 Watt competition head with all the features the QR has except for the half power and Scott said that he wouldn't do it. I guess from talking with him it would not be cost effective for him to do that and the price would be near the range of a QR. In any case I took the plunge and bought a QR As I really wanted the separate EQ for the clean channel and that Third gear Dirty Craig keeps on raving about.
