Hi all.. I have been in the Splawn club for about 4 months now. I was using old super leads, but was not very good at using the volume control to get my cleans, and decided to look into the alternatives. The Splawn Quick Rod was a huge success in finding the tone I was looking for.

Welcome. Glad to hear you like your amp. The classic Marshall sound and a clean channel with a separate EQ is what sold me. I like that fact that it's hand built and not just a factory amp. The new Marshalls don't have the six filter caps on the power supply like the old ones. They only have three. That means that a JCM 2000 will not sound as good cranked up because of the lack of filtering. I am still waiting for my Quick Rod. Scott should be finished with it and have it on the way by the end of next week!

Thanks!
You will LOVE the quick rod.
What is everyones favorite settings? I just dime all of the eq settings, but back the mid off to about 7. Dime the master and set the gain at about 5. DAYUM!!!
My favorite chain is using my '67 reissue Gibson V dead stock, plugged into a Fulltone wah, and a Keeley modded TS-808, then into the top input. I run it through a Mojotone custom 4x12 with Celestion G12H-30's.
R&R HEAVEN!!!
