Help please,i want to run my Quickrod at half setting now as its just too loud on full,at the moment i have the ohm selector on 16 going into a Marshall 1960a 4x12,do i have to set the ohm selector to 8 now? cheers Boz..

But what's the correct setting to have it on in a 2x12 configuration? Would it still be 16 ohms or just 8? I"m sure Scott when preparing that manual was referring to a 4x12 speaker cabinet.

same.. its about the ohms, not how many speakers, the ohm thing in the manual was referencing no particular cab. so, if the cab is 16 ohms, running on 1/2 power on the amp would be 8 ohm on the amp. the cab stays at 16 ohm
TJ, depends how the 2x12 cab is wired. if its a 8 ohm cab. half power on the splawn you set it to 4 ohm on the amp. :-)

Doesn't have a stereo mono switch. It's a 1936 cab.
