I was looking at the front panel of the amp. Looks like its 3 channel. I bet it would be interesting to fiddle with once!

I saw that amp on the gear page forum. The rumor is Fender will make the amp, a Wolfgang guitar and the Charvel Art Series guitars. Also he has a signature model Seymour Duncan pickup coming out. So lots of new Eddie stuff coming soon.

Very interesting. Maybe, just maybe some of it will be quality. Eddie seems to be really concentrating on his gear these days. I hope that the quality of the 5150 III exceeds the Peavey stuff. The Peavey stuff had that wierd mid range thing going on. I would think that Fender would come up with something better for him. Which, I have no boubt that it will be better.
Of course.............its still not going to top a Splawn Quick Rod!

OK ,so put me in with Vom... I've got a 1959 SLPx with Cameron mods coming.I have heard both good and bad things about them , but mostly good. Dirty Craig,what all do you know about the Cameron modded Marshalls?Spill the beans... And which mods are you familar with? I am kind of confused about what mod does what....Jose high,Jose Low,Ocean,Aldrich,etc..... And how do they compare to the Splawn? The main complaint I have heard about is that they can be noisy,especially when the gain is cranked. But most all have said that the tone is awesome,and very "Marshally". Any and all info on the Cameron mods will be greatly appreciated! Peace, Axemane |

I've played 2 different Alrdich modded heads and another one which I can't remember the mod name but I don't think it was a Jose mod. They were all very noisy and the distortion sounded alot more like a fuzz pedal than good tube-amp gain. I could have bought that Aldrich modded amp for $1400.00 and instead bought my second QuickRod. I'm SOooo glad I did.
Thats all I'm gonna say 'cause this is a SPLAWN forum and I don't think its appropriate to plug other guys amps here. Just like it would not be cool to go on Mark's site and talk about Splawn etc..
