I think it would be fun to build an amp. Build it the way you want it......just as long as you don't shock yourself! LOL

Vom, Yes I liked the jtm45 kit. sounds very nice and complex. ya know Vom, you could start out trying a deluxe (5e3) its not to pricey, and its fairly straight forward. :-) based after the deluxe. or even the champ is a real decent little amp and easy to build. if you decide to try one, I will help ya out if you need it. :-)

Hacksaw, did anybody show, or teach you how to build amps? I've always been interested, but never knew where to begin. Could ya point me int the right direction?

Hey Dragonlaw70, yes, I was shown at a young age of 12, my dad made me build my first amp.. wit his help teaching me along the way. but I still resort to books and online information. and a couple of forums. 18watt.com etc.. A book that may be of interest is "the guitar amp handbook" by dave hunter. it gives some history and then goes into sections of how its built. very informative. you can pick it up at amazon.com and for about $20.00 its a good referance. I think they are on sale for 15.79! thats cheap for the info. www.amazon.com/gp/product/087930863X/sr=8-1/qid=1155334227/ref=pd_bbs_1/104-1707845-0332722?ie=UTF8
