You know, last week I was talking about Les Pauls, and how cool it would be to have that tone. Well, since I really like my Mansel, I am thinking that maybe I ought to just save up for a McNaught. I already know the quality I am going to be getting, and for the same price as a really good Les Paul I can get exactly what I want....and it will probably sound better!
Anyone here ever play the McNaught Vintage Single Cutts?

Anyone here ever play the McNaught Vintage Single Cutts? I've played a couple at Scott's shop. They are scary good. If I had the money, I'd much rather have a McNaught than a Gibson...much better quality on the McNaught, plus you get to support an outstanding luthier with a McNaught purchase versus helping out a corporate giant with a Gibson purchase. My .02 cents. Patrick

Hey Motrock and other Mansel owners, Have you play a mansel guitar with a rosewood neck? If so, how does the feel and the sound compares to the mansel's maple neck playing it through a quickrod? I know maple usually will sound brighter than rosewood and this question mostly deals with personal preferrences, but I trying get some opinions before I fork over 2+grand for one of the beauties to go alone with my new quickrod. Thanks for your time.

Thanks for your time. I have only played mine with the maple neck. The maple neck is really the best way to go. The Mahogony Body/ Maple neck is balance of tone!
