that IS a good idea...
fwiw, I played through a diezel herbert for awhile at a local shop...sounded good..really good..but totally different voicing than the splawn so it might not be everyone's taste..that and it iddn't sound like no $4000 worth of amp =D
I also played through an uberschall...I didn't get to crank it but it was very fizzy..reminded me of a triple recto...

Ya know whats funny.. the guy selling that DVD is who turned me on to splawn last year. I asked him if he had a clip of the bogner ectasty or something like that.. and he told me.. dude , like you need a splawn.. I said " a what" hahah... the rest is history.

Well...I have owned a Diezel VH4 and now own a Diezel Herbert and I can honestly say that the price of admission is worth it. I look at it this way..I got a great clean amp,a great crunch amp as well as a great solo amp all in one and if you divide that up it's like having 3 great amps at about $1300.00 a whack. I don't mean to start a controversy but...An amp cannot be judged by sitting and playing with it at a "store" for 5-10 minutes..you have to own it and put it through it's paces with "your" gear for a few days then decide if it's the amp for you or not. Will the Diezel replace my Splawn??...jury is still out...
