I checked out some of his clips..it does sound good..really good...it still sounds like AL though...know what I mean? in other words, I was expecting a totally different type of tone, but it still sounds like 'his' tone to me...interesting amp though...his clips have a definite Satch tone/thing goin' on...
that being said, it's about the ugliest amp Ive ever seen...lol..but does sound good..and man, can that mother play

hmm.. I just listened to Al's clips on the site, yeaup.. his playing is awesome.. looking at it, like the amp shopper I am, I would not buy that amp compared to a splawn. the splawn site clips just rule! More tone to my ears.
the other amp reminded me of the trans siberian orchestra sound. kinda thin in comparison.
and it is ugly! looks like a crate blue voodoo upside down.

Hey Guys
Just a little update, Scott talked with Al for a while yesterday and according to Al nothing as changed at all. Al says that he is still loving and using the Quickrod for all the Eruption stuff.
He said that he does not own an OD100, he did do the clips for them but that is not his amp. He did say that they built him the guitar which he says is simply amazing, no doubt about that.
He said that he was unaware of any amp that they are designing, however he said that he has offered them feedback after he did the clips on the OD100.
So until Al tells us different or until we see anything other than a QR on stage with Eruption we have to believe that Al loves his Splawn. He also placed an order yesterday for a Promod as well. Scott says that he gets emails all the time from guys who have talked will Al and he always has nothing but great things to say about the QR.
So as for now Eruption is still "On Fire" with Splawn.

man, from the way mr shure made it out, it sounded like he was playin' the OD100 exclusively now 'al's on board with our guitars AND amps'...
very misleading..glad he's still in our camp =D
