It's always good to dream.... What would be your 'BIG GIG DREAM RIG? Here's mine: (2 each) single coil and humbucker based guitars into pedalboard with...quality wah, phase, OD/boost, stereo chorus (split stereo, slight but wide detune) (all are TRUE bypass) stereo into (noise gate w/very slight threshold) stereo out to FRONT end of a couple of QuickRod 1/2 stacks in a VERY small rack unit: TC2290 delay, Eventide Eclipse, older Lexicon reverb, in and out of both heads effects loop.... Probably need to customize the footswitch for more cable length and to switch both heads... thats it... A boatload of elixir or DR strings (I still use .009's...) DREAM ON!!!

I had a chandler delay (stereo delay) loved it...I prefer 2290 though ;D BTW: Hendrix owned many strats....which one? woodstock?

Are you kidding,, didn't you hear? I sold that piece 'o crap right after I got the Mansel.
Theres no comparison in construstion, tone, playability etc..
I've openly admitted that the Wolfgang was the biggest mistake I've ever made on a piece of gear. I spent $1400 on that piece of sh1t and it had nothing but problems after only 1 year of heavy gigging. Parts rusting, pot-metal floyd, chincy pots and components. What a piece of garbage. Its not a road worthy axe unless your EVH and have 15 of them lyin aorund and a tech to fix them.
I said when I got the Mansel I'll never go back to production guitars EVER again. I play way too much, sweat too much, drink too much, and beat my stuff too much so I need something solid. Thats why I'm using ALL Splawn gear now including guitar, amp, cab and t-shirts,,, ahahahahahaha.

does Scott make the guitars? or is it a partner? I owned a US wolfgang for a few months and sold it because it didn't get along with my amps...the 'scale' seemed awfully short too...at least a Les Paul length or shorter....it definitely wanted to be played FAST...I think a midnight blue Mansel with a white 'Queensryche cross/swords'..... rock birdseye neck, non floating Rose, pups need some research (one Hum one single)... might be in the festering stages...

Dave Mansel actually makes them. Hes the #2 guy at McNaught guitars. But unless you want to spend $4000 on a McNaught (they are unreal gorgeous instruments!) go with Daves stuff. I think its a team thing, Dave does the wood-working and basic construction, painting, Scott does the setups, intonation etc..

I guess with the Splawn Marshall and the Splawn 4x12 I might as well already have the Splawn Rig. Looking forward to that Mansel more than anything! I have used Peavey Wolfgangs for nine years. I think those days are numbered!
