I agree, $2800 for a bolt- on is ridiculous. they got about $400 in pasrts and wood and $2400 paint job,, LMAO.
I've learned alot working with this guitar maker in Orlando,, hes building EVH replicas like that for under $1000.

that's what I was gonna say, Craig..what on EARTH could make this guitar cost that much?!?! ok, with paint and weathering effects, I could understand it being close to a grand..but for a japanese mock up of eddy's old frankenstein guitar? riiippp offfff...lol

i know alot of people that can do that for less, i even had one a few years back...i'm just saying that you hardly ever see one on ebay with that level of detail...that's cool
