Hey all, I am saving for a quickrod but fear it may be a while. In the mean time, I would like to "fatten" my current "dry" rig. What would you suggest to add to the the following ... Marshall, JMP/MK II/50W/Master Lead 1960A w/ Greenbacks. I found this article on "TONEQUEST" of Billy Gibbons talking about the BK Butler REAL TUBE drive peadl & an OCTAVIA drive pedal. You guys have an opinion on these specifically? Thanks in advance....

I can't comment on those, but the fattest pedals I've heard on a Marshall are Banzai Coldfusion, Klon Centaur, Fulltone OCD, and a few other companies are making good stuff, like Homebrew and T.Rex.
You gotta spend real money on OD's, it seems, in order to get 'fatter than unison' type tone. Anytime you mess with budget pedals, or even modded ones, you end up with more gain, but nothing that sounds better than the raw tone of your amp turned up higher.
