I would probably be better off selling half of this stuff and just playing the guitar. I find myself looking for gear and tinkering with it more than playing. Since I've gotten the Quick Rod, I plug in everyday and just hit chords and play with the knobs! If I would have spent as much time playing as tinkering, I could have been one of the greatest guitarists ever! LOL
I always thought that it was so cool when some amazing player had one guitar and one amp. Like Scotty Anderson. I'm not really a country music fan but the guy is awesome. I saw an interview and he was so quiet. He said "well, this is a fender telecaster. It's the only guitar I have and I have one Twin Reverb too." Then he said that he got tired of playing two separate tracks when people asked for harmony parts when he was doing studio work so now he just uses his middle finger like a second pick and rips both parts at once. Awesome.

Craig- How do you like the PRS CE-24? Never mind about me getting rid of half of my stuff.

Its awesome, best guitar I've ever owned. I like it better than the Custom 24. That guitar has been used on over 1500 gigs easy and over half the country.. never had an issue with it. Right now its semi-retired until I figure out if I want to give it a fret job or not. The frets are gone, completely flattened and almost down to the wood. Amazingly enough the intonation is still perfect.

Awesome. I keep my fx very simple..when I had my mesa rack/triple recto I had a rocktron intellfx...great unit..no coloration, really lush fx..but I had TWO presets..one with delay, one with chorus..that was IT....for me and what I use, it's more of what you said..someting to play around with cause it's cool..but I never find a real use for any of it..that's why I have one pedal..bam..that's it...that and it's too much of a pain to keep hittin' buttons and settin' all that crapola up..lol

Ooo I forgot the 2-12.. I actually have 3 4-12's and 1 2-12... LMAO.
I need to condense.. right now the Marshall 4-12 is a big shelf for me to stack crap on.. I only pull out all the cabs when we do big shows opening for Nationals. I can't have some punk having more cabs than me just cause hes the headliner... hahaha.
I'll never forget the look on Scotti Hills (Skid Row) face when we closed the set with Eruption into Hot For Teacher at Bike Week. The guy was looking at my Splawn head like it was a flying saucer or something.. LOL...poor guy had to follow that,, hahahahahah.

I buy so much gear so I can get over on the guys who are better players than me. OK Craig, are the newer CE-24's as good as the pre 95 models? I am really looking at this being my next guitar.

Of course not,, first off my CE-24 wasn't even a production model. It was a custom prototype of a Ce-24 built for the guitar player from Humble Pie. I bought it from Jerry Shirley when he went on the radio in Cleveland and needed to off a bunch of gear....
My custom 24 is stamped '95 but according to PRS himself it was built in late '93 before the factory move and the big production started in early '96. I used to think PRS made the BEST guitars at one time, and maybe they did, I wouldn't buy a new one, look for used ones on ebay or something.

Something before 95?
I see some late 90's models regularly but not very many early 90's models at all. I guess there's a reason for that.

They had all rented gear, which was too bad for them I guess, JCM 900's and 5150's. and those marshall cabs in the pics you see behind me.
