He may have been noodeling back then but I wouldn't knock him for not having tone on borrowed equipment. I'd like to see anyone hear stand up against George's playing!

No one ever said George was a bad player. Shred and I talked about this. In my post I'm not knocking George's overall p laying. I'm knocking that one video. Like I said in previous posts, I like George. In all fairness I compared a warm up video to EJ and that's not fair. George serves his purpose and does what he does well. I still want to smack him upside his steroid head and shake the $5 I spent on his REH video out of him. What a rip off!!! Worst video ever made in my opinion. I learned......................................nothing from it.

The vid was in a bin at a local music store back in the late 90's and they were vids for like $5 to $10 and the Lynch was $5. Figured it was a bargain. I was wrong

Most guitar videos are not good learning tools. If I had $5 for every video that I didn't learn anything off of I would have like $100. The one exception is Danny Gatton's strictly rhythm. That one rocks! |

yep, those REH videos generally suck the butt..I have the Reb Beach one...lammmmeee i have that video shreder. The tool interviewing him is annoying, but i like the opening and closing jams. I didnt' learn a whole lot from it, except for how to do those ascending tapping runs he does. I got more out of it than a Marty F video from way back when |

Well I'm a huge fan of EJ during the Ah Via musicom and Tones days. Don't get me wrong I like all of his music and can appreciate it. It's kind of like my fascination with VH I and VH II. Just the intensity of the playing on those earlier albums overshadows the new stuff. Of course that's just my opinion.
