Brownies! Brownies! When you get a real gig let me know because I want to sample them delicious brownies! just kidding man, good luck with that. Hey, I finally got a drummer for my original band! He's a monster on the kit! We should be ready to play in a month or two. I don't think I got the cover gig though  . I was rushed through the audition and bombed a few key songs. Oh well I'd rather play originals anyway. |

man... my wife keeps telling me to get in a cover band to actually make some money... she just doesnt understand that its not all about money.. although i would LOVE to play in an 80's hair metal band..... that would be awesome! what kind of stuff are you playing with the new band bro?

man... my wife keeps telling me to get in a cover band to actually make some money... she just doesnt understand that its not all about money.. although i would LOVE to play in an 80's hair metal band..... that would be awesome! what kind of stuff are you playing with the new band bro? the money is dependent on the area I've found out..some guys onhere do pretty well..my area is saturated..saturated with SUCK! but there's a few bucks here and there...lol... we actually have to have a sit down after the party on saturday and talk about direction..there's nothin' wrong with knowin' all that motown, dance and funk stuff...but there's a big market for 80s stuff right about now...and we need to add more of it... right now we play a bunch of stuff...AC/DC, Bon Jovi, commodores, earth wind and fire, morrisette, fleetwood mac, yes, rush, heart.. I'd like to add more stuff like boston, kansas, hagar, VH, etc, etc.... by the by, if the wife SUGGESTS it, by all means, DO IT! hahah..alotta people I know get flack from their significant others for bein' in bands...go find some people right now..lol |

You had some brownies?! ;D The new drummer is actually a musician, not just a dude banging away on drums. He is a sick bastid on the kit! He is actually a metal drummer but he is working in his style quite nicely. No more f-up kid who doesn't show up half the time and gets arrested every week. I honestly don't think the coverband is going to call me back. I did pretty bad that day and I had a sh*t attitude caused by......drumroll please....................the woman! Yeah she gave me crap for getting into a fulltime gig and I really think she was going to be jealous of the ladies. It sucked and it killed my spirirt going into it. She would rather me play in my original band a few times a month and make no money than me playing 6 nights a week. I'm defeated, what can I say. |
