This is just a spinoff from the other thread but what concerts have ya'll seen that were your most memorable? Here is my list in no particular order:
1. Van Halen - 1984 w/ Roth (loudest concert I've ever been to). 2. Judas Priest - Defenders of the Faith. 3. AC/DC - Fly on the Wall w/ Yngwie Malmsteen warming up. 4. Metallica - Master of Puppets w/ Cliff Burton. 5. Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime. 6. Motley Crue - Shout at the Devil. 7. Ozzy - Bark at the Moon. 8. Pantera - Far Beyond Driven. 9. Dio - Holy Diver (Love Vivian Campbells early work w/ Dio). 10. Ratt - Out of the Cellar (DiMartini shredded). 11. DLR - Eat Em' and Smile (Vai, say no more..). 12. Triumph - Never Surrender (Rik Emmett is very underrated).

First memorable for me, We had a small private party with BTO, I was 22, I think.. 40 or 50 of us in a medium size venue, they jammed for about 3 hours. Then we partied until, Well I dont remember. Then there was frank marino, at a outdoor festival. We was sitting around talking and ... yada yada yada.. doing bla bla bla. didnt know who he was until he took the stage. haha.. wow.
Then there was judas preist. middle front.. just blew us away with volume and the perfect judas preist rip your face off jams.
Yes! AC/DC with Yngwie! I seen that concert in Witchita Ks. That was awesome. when yngie opened up the show, everyone was just looking around like who is this guy? what the ?? they didnt understand it I guess! hahaha.. I think i have seen AC/DC more than any other band. Preist 2nd.
another favorite was G3 tour. seen them in San Antonio, Satch Vai, Petrucci, and walk on Eric Johnson. which was another small venue. maybe 400-500 people there. front and center to watch the action.
Ted Nugent and Kiss, my first concert (76-77 ?). I wish I remembered more of that one. hahaha
OH and Rainbow, Rainbow rising tour, with blackmore running those reel to reels on the stage in the background. that was a controversial subject for a few years.

Brother and Sister are the singers and they are backed by a piano. My wife made me go to the show...I guess since I make her go to all of my rock shows, so this one was payback. I wasn't expecting much...in fact, I was thinking that I'd get a good nap. However, nothing was further from the truth. The bro and sis team have the most powerful voice I've ever heard...absolutely crushed. The sister had a real sultry/soulful voice and the brother had a perfect voice for rock, a little grit and HUGE range. I became a big fan after that show...in fact, I opened up my musical horizons because of it.

Most memorable for me are: 1. TOOL - Ozzfest 97(?) Just WOW. 2. Radiohead - This summer. I finally got to see them after missing all their tours. 3. Robin Trower - This summer again. The man blew me away with his chops and feel! 4. Interpol - 2002 A very sentimental show and an outstanding performance 5. Mars Volta - 2001 Great improv show with alot of energy 6. VH - Poconos Late 90's (?) A very memorable (and fuzzy!) time for a friend and I. We managed to dress up a nitris ballon with a shirt and hat and explain it was our intoxicated friend to the cop checking cars on the way out. 7. Primus - '98 Kick azz 8. Unlimited Sunshine Tour w/ Cake, Modest Mouse, Flaming Lips and others. Pouring rain in a Brooklyn park but a great time and unbelievable show. That's all I got for now, or I can't remember the others .

Ooooh I love lists...
1) Motorhead / King Diamond / Armored Saint: Cleveland, OH Loudest concert ever and I lost a shoe in the pit. FUN. I went with a girl who ate my c0ck like it was food all night... it was like that chick in wedding crashers.. it was sore afterwards. She was insatiable, on the way, during, after,, ahhh.
2) Al Dimeola - Kiss My Axe Tour: Cleveland Al was p1ssed and it showed in his playing. The guy was sick on fire ridiculously good and this tour was his biggest record since the 70's.
3) Extreme/AIC - Small club in Akron, OH, 2 excellent bands on the brink of success and I played pool with Layne Staley and Jerry Cantrell.
4) Tribal Tech; West Palm Beach, FL 2000 Scott Henderson was amazing. Joey Kramer from Aerosmith and his entourage were sitting right beside me buying us beers.
5) Yngwie and Dio Cleveland Outdoor show, Yngwie was amazing. To this day probably the best rock guitar performance I've ever seen.
6) Dream Theater Gigantour 2005: I've seen them a bunch of times, this was the best and tightest most focused performance by any band I've ever seen.
7) Badlands / Tesla / Great White, Kent State University: Great White was/is the worst band I've ever seen.... but, Badlands opened up with a 45 minute set that still gives me chills thinking about it. Jake was back and on fire and Ray Gillen was the best singer I've ever seen to this day. Don't remember Tesla, was having sex in the bathroom with the girls I went with.
8) Van Halen - Monsters of Rock '88 2 days of pure hedonism. Got to meet my idol at the time EVH along with all the guys in VH, Metallica, Scorps and Dokken. Sammy Hagar was the nicest "rock star" I've ever met.
9) Mr. Big / Enuff Z, Nuff, Bang Tango, Clevelkand '89? whoa, Billy and Paul on their first tour together,, sick, sick, sick~! Bang Tango were a new band at that time and really cool,, 10 years later I was in a band with Bang Tango's guitar player... small world.
10) Rolling Stones / Living Colour, Cleveland Stadium 1989 Got to see living legends.. what a great show. It was like seeing the Beatles for somebody my age. Vernon Reid was and is still the most horrible lead guitar player ever.

Oh yeah, and I forgot about Dimeola. He came to my college one year and I had to go see a "jazz" performance for my music class so we went to see him because we thought he was a jazz guy. To this day that was the most amazing guitar playing I have ever seen. What that guy does with just an acoustic is beyond what shredders do with electric guitars, disorted amps, pedals, etc.... Also, his band was sick. Chick Corea was on piano and they were doubling the insane solo lines, just mind-blowing.

1. Iron Maiden and Wasp reunion arena dallas texas. it was the powerslave tour and my first concert. i was 14. as of two weeks ago i have seen maiden 10 times. 2. Lynch Mob dallas city limits dallas texas. funny story. my buddy and i went to see lynch mob and the next night at the same venue was Alice In Chains and Extreme. they played man in a box over that PA and i thought what the hell? that was some cool stuff.. so my bud and i are huge lynch freaks so we waited outside the club until three in the morning to follow georges tourbus to get osme autographs and whatnot... so they finally pulled up to some ranky run down hotel and me and my bud ran up asking to meet the guys.. the drivers said sure but we're not lynchmob... it was alice in chains!!!! I was pissed for a sec but then after we met layne and i told him the man in the box was rockin tune we all got really drunk and were guest for the show the next night... memories man..
damageplan @numbers houston election day november 2004... I grew up in dallas and knew Darrel quite well. when i lived in amsterdam eveytime they came to town we always partied and had good times.. me an my wife where on the tourbus talkin to dime and he said and i will never forget this... "natedog, its great to be out with damageplan because it gives me the opportunity to get back in the clubs and hang with the fans..." we did some shots watched the show and that was that last time i would ever talk to him...

It may have been, I don't remember but they were doing alot of doubling and trading off and it was amazing. He also had a rhythm guitarist and a percussionist. The other guitarist was sick too and I can't seem to remember his name. It was somebody you probably heard of.

I've seen so many concerts. Kiss, VH, Priest, Maiden, Megadeth, Bon Jovi, Cinderella, Night Ranger, Malmsteen, Vai, Roth, etc. etc. The most memorable performances I've ever seen were two that you guys will rake me over the coals for but here goes:
Peter Gabriel in San Sebastian Spain 1993. Such a great concert! No crazy guitar solos or extended drum solos. Just Pete and his songs. Awesome!!
Virginia Luque. Andres Segovia's understudy. Totally blew me away the command that she had over the guitar. Craig you should listen to her. Such a great player.
