I voted for Eddie as I do consider him the best in the Rock genre. HOwever others seem to think that Hendrix and Clapton are above our Sir Edward.

I hate those polls. There is no way to say one is better than the other with so many different styles.IMHO. But, for Vom sake, I voted for Ed. I could feel the desperation in his thread. hee hee. But I would have picked Ed anyway by "that" list. But c'mon Brian May in dead last 0.9 behind "other". hmmmm.

Ed was the best rock guitarist back in the late 70's early 80's but I have to say after seeing Jeff Beck a few months ago and I wasn't even a beck fan I was floored. Beck is in a class by himself. I would give give ED my vote for what he has accomplished as a rock player in our lifetime but I have really lost interest in anything he is doing these days.

How the h3ll does Duane Allman get into that list? I mean without a slide that guy couldn't play anything.. blah. I hate slide. Nothing could be more annoying than a slide player in a best players list.
