Davo, Your tag line says you live in Charlotte, NC. That's cool...I live about 10 miles from Scott's shop. Do you play in a band around Charlotte? manoopee, No band for me. Not in about ten years. I just got married so my band days are doomed. I was thinking about starting a tribute band when I got more time. Scott will be the first to tell you that I am a sucky guitar player. I just buy more gear in the hopes that it will kick my a** off the couch and on to the stage. Hasn't worked yet. Just bought a Zentera. Last piece, I hope. I help a lot of bands: I did the following bands web sites: theturnstiles.net, cottonmouthmusic.com, skokat.com (now gone). I helped Scott with his web site. He does his own edits. I gave him the files and a book and told him have at it. He is the only one that I have helped to be able to do that. I love music and hard rock. It is the only thing that makes me happy at times. I know I will get back in the game at some point but too many side projects going on now. I can relate to the guys with breaking up bands. I was never able to keep a band together. Maybe I know you or have seen you at Splawn. It is a pretty small circle that floats around there. D Congrats on the new marriage. Mine's been going for 8 years and I've had a blast...seems more like 40 years though, hehe! ;D I haven't really been able to 'hang' at the shop for quite a while. I used to hang out when he moved to his current location but that when I was in school finishing my degree...that's when I had some extra time...y'know. I'm the same way with the band, haven't been in one for about 10 years. I guess I'm too busy raiding the corporate world. later, Patrick

Remind me to tell you a story about my band in college. let's hear it now bro Okay Vom, I was playing/practicing with some guys in college. We were sitting around practicing one day at my house. All of a sudden the other guitar player stands up and freaks out, hands waving in the air. He was saying “This is not working,” “I can’t do this any more, I quit.” The Bass player and I just looked at each other and I said, well, what do we do now. The bass player said, “I guess the band is breaking up.” I later found out that the same guys continued the band behind my back. They staged the “I quit” band break up outburst to get me out of the band. Later they found a charismatic front man and got an indie record deal. I questioned the bass player (MY FRIEND) about it and he said “Yeah Dave, your too bluesy.” Well, I guess that is a good reason to get fired, “being too bluesy.” I didn’t really care. I was tired of playing songs about surfing. I would have had way more respect for the guys if they just fired me to my face. D

I'll am going to try to go by the Splawn shop on Saturday. I haven't been in a long time. May talk to Scott about trading in the Comp for a QR, web updates, and getting some news for all you Fockers (use of attenuators and the new Super Stock).
