Back around 1986, I was 16 at the time, there was a metal radio show in St. Louis called Monday Night Metal (KSHE 95). The show started around 10:30 on monday night and ran for about 4 hours. So one monday night I'm tucked in bed, pj's on, headphones on, and the only light in the room was from my stereo...a cool effect at the time, and I'm digging all of the cool metal tunes they are playing. Then the dj put on an old school sounding track, it was "Stranglehold" by Terrible Ted. The more that track played on the more scared I got. In fact, I had to turn my stereo off because I thought I started seeing things move in my closet. Am I a wuss or what? Actually, to this day that song still give me goose bumps.....in the scary kind of way.
Any of you actually been scared by a song?
Patrick

That sounds cool. I want to hear it now! I love eerie sounding music.
This may sound ghey but the only song I remember being scared of when I was younger was MJ's Thriller!! I guess it was the video or the fact that I was about 8 or 9 when it came out but it freaked me out and I really liked it at the same time.
There was another time, when I was around 16 or 17 and me and a friend staying at his cabin in the Poconos, PA and his parents had left us there for a few nights. We got really stoned and had all the lights off except for the TV. We were just BS'ing and not really paying attention to the music videos when Ozzy's No More Tears video came on. Something about his freaky eyes staring at us during that song in a dark cabin in the middle of the mountains really bugged us out! I think we stayed up until about 4 am!!
If you want a freaky album though nothing beats Fantomas' "Director's Cut." It is their remake of movie and TV theme songs, mostly horror, such as The Omen, Rosemary's Baby, Twin Peaks, etc. Its a mix of metal and psychotic noise. Freaky!!

The ending of "Blackout" by the Scorpions always freaked me out when I was a little kid.

the only time i'd ever been scared was when i saw marilyn manson's video for "sweet dreams"...i was so psyched that it was something new and scary that i called up my buddy to tell him about it...a few weeks later it hit me that they were just a 90s version of KISS (harmless......)
