Oh my,,, 3 weeks and a about a hundred hours later I've almost got this one.. My teacher told me not to try it cause its too hard,, screw him,, LMAO... I'll have this in about another week... just in time to show him he was wrong.. hair-metal.com/video/bwv998.wmvI'm so exited that I finally got through it I had to post it.. It hurts my left hand so much I usually have to stop towards the end.. as you can see I stumble alot at the end too.. No purple pants no Splawn.... sorry!  |

ahhh..the softer side of craig...all solem...serious....into his art....
note: the effort it took to play such a technically challenging and extended classical passage....almost as if he's moved so much that he has to wipe tears from his eyes...
note: he has to have a drink from the exertion!
and then, he lights up a rather long cigarette....

seriously though dude...good stuff...well, that's an understatment..I wouldn't have the coordination to do all those funky interval changes and keep them all straight..gotta have good fretboard vision (a term my old guitar teacher used to use) to do something like that...
hat's off to ya, bro..definetly one of the most diverse dudes I've known

Its really bad in terms of mistakes,, but its the first time I made it through without looking at the music. Another week and I should have it smooth.

Glad to know I am not the only one that the left hand hurts. practicing those yngwie stretches.. man.. those are way out there! now for those mussles to retrain and re-align! Going in to test for carple tunnel this afternoon,, just to check up on it since the hand hurts quickly anymore. feels like it gets pumped up for no reason within 15 minutes.. hurts.. then take a 10 minute break and all is ok for a hour.. |

Oh no its not my composition, its one of Bach's Preludes from a Lute Suite in Eb Major, but this is an arrangement in d minor. If you want to get a copy of the music its BWV998 from the Bach works.
Way harder than any Yngwie lick, trust me,, LMAO.. I've never heard Yngwie play anything other than the simplest classical stuff..

I got's 'lil' tiny hands/fingers. Seriously...if you can learn to finger pick with
4/5 fingers...that really opens doors. BTW watch Lindsey Buckingham play
sometime.

BWWWHAHAHA,, more reverb. Honestly once I learn this thing clean without mistakes I'll record it and definitely add some verb to it. Anyone recommend a good condenser mic for acoustics?
