Guys, I need to learn how to do some new stuff. I want to be able to add styles like Stevie Ray Vaughn and Neil Schon to my playing. In other words........Blues Rock riffs and licks. I gues I need to know some blues/ rock progressions. Something that Hendrix or SRV would use? As far as licks, I need some standard stuff and some challenging stuff that can be applied to anything in rock.
Another thing............I am terrible at vibrato. I need some serious help! LOL I am really bad at doing vibrato while bending notes. I can shake the note twice before I can't do it anymore. Usually if I try to do some vibrato I end up making the note go totally off.

I'd help but a) I'm bad at explaining things and b) I just kinda do what comes natural..oh, and c) I'm a sh!tty teacher...I leave that to my wife...lol..
as far as vibrato goes....especially when bending....don't start doing it as soon as you enter the bend...bend, let it hang for a split second, THEN go into it...that'll help you keep pitch..AND DON'T RUSH IT!!! else you'll sound like kirk hammet...and we hate him..at least, I do...lol

That sounds better for bending. I hear guys like Neil Schon from Journey, EVH, etc. and they have amazing vibrato.

friggin' dig in man! that's the best way I can describe vibrato..if there's anything that I think I do well, it's vibrato...lol... sometimes though, when comming out of a fast passage I have a tendency to do it a little too fast....but it's hard to stop on a dime malmsteen..there's some more awesome vibrato...adrian smith...more awesome vibrato!!! maybe try watchin' some guys and try to pick it up? I think that's where mine came from..my guitar teacher..

yes find a guitar teacher.. always a very good option! vibrato,, shake that guitar! let the weight of it help you.. that will smooth ya out a bit. watch srv videos! he shakes the h*ll out of it! after you watch srv you will see he is simple structured, just killer feel. SRV likes to bend strings at the same time as his attack on the string.. Here ya go best of both SRV, doing voodoo youtube.com/w/SRV?v=LOzKP02vukc&search=SRV
